Scientist. Artist. Inventor. US Marine. Economic Developer. I make great things happen.
Some of my fondest earliest memories are of going with my mom to her art class. I’d give anything for one of mom’s daisy pastels, I can still see them in my memory. Our high school art class took us to a “Starving Artist” art show. All I could think back then was “I dont want to be a starving anything.”
I never wanted to be “just another” painter, or sculptor-there are so many talented artists in the world-I searched for years to be able to do something completely different.
After a stint in the US Marine Corps, I pursued my other love of science and chose a polymer science degree and MBA. After inventing new products, helping companies put new products on the market and solving numerous technical problems in the manufacturing industry, I decided to use what I have learned in polymer science and industry to create something that no one has done before.
I have always been fascinated with carbon fiber’s phenomenal properties so I developed a technique over several years to make flawless forms with epoxy and carbon fiber. I created this website to share them with the world and hopefully inspire others to use this incredible material in new art pieces.
You are welcome to watch Carbon Fiber for Dummies on youtube. We made that video in 2012 predicting what would happen after a lower cost carbon fiber was developed and commercialized. Nine years later, that is very close to happening.
